Great to Meet You I’m Ken Hatton

Have you ever seen a person with that look in their eyes, like they had just seen something so great they knew it was going to change their lives so profoundly and they leaked so much excitement even you got excited just by being around them?

This is what I saw in my Father way back when even the words Network Marketing or Mlm weren’t even words, most people hadn’t even heard of of Amway because it had just started.

I was only 13 and this was one of the best and worst times I was about to experience in this new a expanding industry.

The best part was seeing the look in Dad’s eyes, the worst was when his upline moved out of Province and the supply chain stopped, because back then everything had to be personally picked up and delivered to the customers.

For a while I thought this was going to be a great thing because of the belief Dad could see in our future, then I saw it crumble real fast.

I decided at that time that I would never allow this feeling of frustration to happen to me and for the next 30 years I stayed away from Network Marketing.

I treated it as the plague, I wanted nothing to do with it.

Then it happened, things in my life changed rather drastically.

I won’t get into detail but everything went sideways, turn upside down and was a complete reversal of everything I wanted. It was BAD! I had to restart my life over again:(

A couple of years later I attended a Network Marketing meeting.

Being good with numbers and also in business for myself, it didn’t take me long to figure out why Dad had been so excited.

I stayed up a couple of nights, drawing the circles and filling in the names and numbers, and soon I think I had the same Fire in my eyes that I’d seem in Dad’s eyes.

Have you ever done this, stayed up and drew circles until the circles were under your Eyes?

Did you or have you Caught the Dream?

After a few months, reality started to set in, because everyone I had put on my list, like I was asked to do, didn’t see what I saw.

They bought the product and joined the business out of loyalty to me,but they never did anything, No duplication, No Customers, No Reps!

So after a year of frustration I packed it in – to everyone’s relief. because they didn’t want to be there in the first place.

I changed companies, the New Company had a product everyone needed, and most people really wanted.

I was on stage and building a big business, when the company closed up shop and left the Country. BOOM! My business was gone!

With this Company I really learnt if a person Wants the Product then you have a winner, for some reason people don’t buy what they need only what they want. (very valuable lesson)

So I joined another Company, but by this time most of the people that had been following me where finding excuses not to do any more businesses with me so I had to look elsewhere.

You’ve heard of the NFL Club, right?

The next adventure was the internet, I found a team of players that wanted to build a business and in 6 months we brought in over 25,000 people, it was going great, until, the company shut down and left. (with a boat load of out money and left us “HOLDING THE BAG”)

Another minor set back, and a whole group of people who didn’t blame the company but blamed us their uplines for the companies departure.

(Start over again Ken!)

Another company went public, changed all the rules and pay structures so everyone had to leave.

In all this time, I was learning about systems for helping me build my businesses.

Some were good and cost a lot, some were really bad and cost a lot, then some just didn’t work and for some reason cost even more.

Because I LOVED being in Business for Myself and helping others in their Health & Wealth, I’ve never given up.

But I did buy the domains Mlmburnouts.com and Mlmburnout.com between a couple of the companies, I took the sites down due to them being a little, lets say – negative towards the industry at that time, my feelings where a little warped for awhile to say the least.

However, I’ve learnt a couple of things about the Systems I use and the Companies I choose to be with.

1st the Company.

1. It has a Patented on of a Kind product that nobody else has or can get.2. It’s Wanted and Needed by a great number of people (not just needed, because nobody buys what they need only what they want!)3. It must have a fair and profitable compensation plan.4. This one is the hopeful one, that they never sell or change things, this is always a variable that will never change.

But the company I’ve partnered with is worth the gamble.

2nd the Systems

(one is a customer funnel and the other part is rep information funnel, both are about the company, plus system training – Cost $24.95/mo)

(Second one Costs $15 one time fee gives both training & Unlimited Leads for Life)

Here’s what I believe and go by:

1. The systems must be good enough that even if the company folds or changes things, the people I work with will stay with the systems and go to a new company (Cutting the ties to the company and creating a loyalty to the system.)

2. They must have training, so we don’t have to do it and it must be duplicatable so everyone, with any financial condition from anywhere can also do it without any or very few questions.

3. It must be affordable, so nobody can be left out.
